Dear Members in Christ,

Itching Ears, Seduction and False Messages

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;” 1 Timothy 4:1

We are all living in the last days. The Lord’s return to this sinful world is very near. We do not know the day nor the hour but His return is certain. There will be great rejoicing when He returns for all believers but for the unbelievers there will much confusion, pain, sorrow and regret. His return is the blessed hope for all believers. 

Some of the major events which precede the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ: “many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” Matthew 24:11 2, “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Matthew 24:24.

Thus, for true believers, we anxiously and eagerly wait for His return. However, let us be vigilant and warned against the deceits and deception of the ruler of this world, the Devil. Whilst waiting patiently for the Lord’s return, please be consciously aware that the Devil is busy working to tell the world that Jesus’ return will not happen. The Devil does not want Christians to believe and be ready for the Lord’s return. He wants to destroy the lives and testimonies of Christians. He does not want to see triumphant and victorious Christians living in the world. He desires to have more lost souls with him in the eternal Lake of Fire when God passes judgement at the Great White Throne.

The Devil uses various methods to seduce, stumble, mislead and deceive gullible and ignorant believers. The latest being the attack of the KJV Bible, as evidenced by the proliferation of the many modern corrupted versions of Westcott and Hort’s underlying text and the undermining of the doctrine of VPP.

Today, there are many false prophets, teachers and preachers serving the ruler of this world and his kingdom of darkness. Therefore, do not be ignorant and lulled into the trap that all preachers preach the Truth of God’s Word. Jesus called them “wolves in sheep’s clothing”! The Bible, and even the Apostle Paul during his time, warn of false teachers and preachers. It is true of the past and it is true of the present. The Devil is ever active since time immemorial. The Devil’s mission is to disrupt and destroy souls from knowing and seeing the Truth of God.

With the advent of technology, the internet and web broadcast, many gullible and ignorant Christians are able to surf the internet to listen or read messages preached or written that please their conscience and comfort their souls. They conjure up, in their mind, what God should be like according to their desire and understanding. They abhor sound doctrines preached from the Word of God. They dislike and avoid hearing sermons of sins, punishments and Hell. They love sermons that comfort and please their feelings, condone their actions and soothe their conscience. They love to hear of health and wealth sermons, experience signs and wonders, their fleshly senses being entertained and etc. They love to have the world inside the Church. These are all easy to the hearts, ears and the eyes. For they cannot endure sound doctrines! 

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4.

To our congregation, do not be like these gullible and ignorant believers for they seek not the Truth BUT their own “conjured truth” which is of the Devil. Dear brethren, do covet sound Biblical doctrines and teachings from God-fearing Churches, preachers and teachers. Use the KJV Bible as the study Bible. Reason being, KJV Bible is the most accurate and faithful translation of the original Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek text of God’s original Word, the Autograph.

Be like the Berean Christians who searched the scriptures daily to ensure that they hear the true Word and doctrines of God. We are encouraged to “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15.

Seek fundamental teachings NOT the modern, liberal and distorted teachings which add, subtract and/or misinterpret/distort the Word of God. They are attractive and appealing to the earthly souls BUT not the heaven bound souls of those genuinely saved.

CJBPF is a fundamental reformed Church of the Bible-Presbyterian (BP) persuasion. Her teachings and doctrines are built upon the foundation of Christ “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 3:11. We believe Jesus Christ of the Bible and NOT of the world.

Please ensure that you are established, rooted and grounded in the true faith in Christ as “… some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;” 1 Timothy 4:1.

Let no man deceive you. Be strong in the knowledge and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
