GRH 046 O Holy Is the Sabbath Day

O holy is God’s day of rest;
Let us with joy and peace be blessed.
Creation’s finish made it bright;
O let us bask in heav’nly light!

O holy Resurrection morn
When all our hopes of life were born!
Give us, O Lord, Thy victory
Because our souls belong to Thee.

(3)
O Holy Spirit, sent like fire,
To guide Thy people, to inspire,
May we be filled with heav’nly flame
To witness to Christ’s holy name!

Here in this place and on this day,
Take sin and worldliness away,
Turn all our thoughts upon the Word
And worship of our holy Lord.
