GRH 083 Great Are Thy Mercies, Heavenly Father

(1)
Great are Thy mercies, Heav’nly Father
Thou dost provide me food and clothing
I will serve, follow Him, humble in my heart,
He the spring wind, I the grass as I yield.

(2)
Let not your heart be troubled for clothes;
Let not your heart be troubled for food.
Father God knows our needs and He will provide.
As you serve and work for Him do your best.

(3)
See little birds around as they fly;
Look at the fields so white with lilies.
Never sow, never reap; lilies do not spin.
Yet the Father cares for them, why not me?

(4)
Solomon king in all his splendor,
Could not compare with birds and lilies.
Brothers all, then be wise, heaven’s grace is great.
This wide world is now our home, mine and yours.
