GRH 421 In All the Seasons Seeking God

(1)
Brilliant spring paints beauteous landscapes;
Flow’rs abound and grass is green.
Youth should all be seeking early
Earnest minds, hearts pure and clean.

(2)
Soft, south breezes waft calm summer;
Foliage spreads in lush array.
Man’s best years of strength soon vanish;
Haste to do God’s work today.

(3)
Autumn’s clear days glow with vigor;
Fruit and grain rich yield have made.
We present our hearts as off’rings;
These excel gold, pearls and jade.

(4)
Snowflakes bring cold winter weather;
Earth is silv’ry, chaste and pure.
God forgives our sins and takes us,
Cleansed, back to heaven once more.
