GRH 439 I Have Forsaken All for Jesus

(1)
All for Jesus I’ve forsaken,
With my cross I’ll follow Him.
Pleasure, riches, fame and honor,
Count as worthless beside Him.

(2)
Jesus ne’er neglects nor fails me,
Who in kindness can compare?
Why should I in my heart tremble
Since my hand is to the plow?

(3)
Gone the past and face the future;
Grace sustains one for each day.
Tho’ I pass thro’ death’s dark valley,
He will lead me all the way.

(4)
See the lost sheep cold and wand’ring.
Who will help them e’er too late?
Souls are dying by the thousands;
Shall God’s house stand desolate?

(5)
Cleanse, refine me, Lord, and use me.
Better would I share Thy Word.
I would please Thee with heart and strength
Till I stand before my Lord.
