GRH 441 Walking in the Will of God

(1)
Walking in the will of God,
I will never, never stray.
Tho’ the path be rough and hard,
I will joyfully obey.
Lord, O may Thy will be done.
Lord, O may Thy will be done.
Let me turn not left nor right,
But walk daily in Thy light.

(2)
Tho’ there’s myst’ry hiden here
That no man alone may learn;
Let my soul, O Lord, be still,
Thy high purpose to discern.
Lord, O may Thy will be done.
Lord, O may Thy will be done.
Let me turn not left nor right,
But walk daily in Thy light.

(3)
Sickness, sorrow, may befall,
Yet God’s will is always best.
Men may bring our spirits low,
But in God we can have rest.
Lord, O may Thy will be done.
Lord, O may Thy will be done.
Let me turn not left nor right,
But walk daily in Thy light.

(4)
Worldly joys I would forego;
May I never hesitate.
The Lord’s perfect will to know;
Any pain I’ll tolerate.
Lord, O may Thy will be done.
Lord, O may Thy will be done.
Let me turn not left nor right,
But walk daily in Thy light.

(5)
I wish in my daily life
To be in Thy will divine.
Sorrow, pain, or tears or strife
Can’t prevail, for He is mine.
Lord, O may Thy will be done.
Lord, O may Thy will be done.
Let me turn not left nor right,
But walk daily in Thy light.

(6)
How I long that day by day
Others may Thy image see;
Give me strength along the way
To completely follow Thee.
Let me walk within Thy will,
Let me walk within Thy will,
Ev’ry footstep in Thy track,
Halting not, nor turning back.
