GRH 614 God, the Lord Omnipotent

(1)
God, the Lord omnipotent,
To His will creation He bent,
Therefore, to His name we raise
Glory, honour, majesty and praise.

(2)
Sun that fills the sky with light,
Moon and stars that shine in the night,
Hill and valley, mountain peak,
Of His pow’r ineffable they speak.

(3)
Ev’ry grain which earth doth yield,
Fruit and flow’r, and grass in the field,
Fish that swim in stream and sea,
God made them all very cunningly.

(4)
God is God, and only He,
Idols are merely vanity.
He alone to men can be
Life that springs to all eternity.
