GRH 620 Comrades in Faith, Though Now We Part

(1)
Comrades of faith, tho’ love we’ve shared,
To separate we now must start,
Deep moral ties, one love of God,
One spirit makes us loathe to part.
Tho’ now we part, we’ll meet again;
Where’er you go, may God be there,
Your way to guide, your steps to train;
Abide in joy within His care.

(2)
Tho’ each must take his separate way,
Our fellowship intact we’ll keep,
Rememb’ring each in mutual prayer,
Joint burdens lift, joint blessings reap.
Tho’ now we part, we’ll meet again;
Where’er you go, may God be there,
Your way to guide, your steps to train;
Abide in joy within His care.

(3)
In boat or cart, on hill or stream,
The Lord protect and prosper you;
From now press on, at one with God:
Turn evil round, make good come true.
Tho’ now we part, we’ll meet again;
Where’er you go, may God be there,
Your way to guide, your steps to train;
Abide in joy within His care.

(4)
There may be times we’ll tested be,
Then in His name give humble prayer;
Love, justice, peace, sincerity,
Grow if the Holy Spirit’s there.
Tho’ now we part, we’ll meet again;
Where’er you go, may God be there,
Your way to guide, your steps to train;
Abide in joy within His care.
